Purging The Skeletons

Purging The Skeletons

There are numerous skeletons
in the closet of my mind.
Seems everyday there's a new one,
waiting there for me to find.

These skeletons are not friendly,
they torment me everyday.
No matter what I say or do,
they refuse to go away.

I'm not sure why they stay here,
and fill my head with that sound.
Sometimes they almost sound lost,
making noises just to be found.

Just when I thought it was futile,
and I was at the end of my rope.
A soft voice whispered the words,
that filled my heart with hope.

Her words were clear and concise,
she said, the battle you shall win.
All things done wrong, you must set right,
to purge the skeletons lying within.

I hope you were paying attention,
and heard what I'm trying to say.
So if your mind's closet has skeletons,
you'll know how to send them away.
