Shed the Skin

by Krete   Nov 8, 2005

Bloom Nightingale,
shed those awful things.
Break free from granite,
and open up those wings.

Settle down a moment,
and close those brown eyes.
Remember how you got here,
Nothing - no more cries.

Open up those eye lids,
flap those Grey green wings,
beat the air with malice,
Fly and go Sing.

Screech the roar of life,
the ever sound eternity,
silence all but nothing,
free from the absurdity.

Flap those precious feathers,
slam the clean air,
freedom from the everything,
No long despair.

You cute little pigeon,
you once ugly bird,
now a beautiful sonnet,
All & everywhere heard.

This beautiful little, free, Bird.

I loved it. It just rang out power of free speach to me. How words can shed burnt outer skin and set a person's soul free. So they can live... very beautiful my dear.
