Fighting Destiny

My life has been laid out for me
Like a picnic set for a summers eve
Seemingly harmless, appearing ideal
A mirage, not sure this realities real

But I know of another feast
While latent, I know brings about peace
But when I find it, how will I know
That this is what my search has bestowed

I refuse to waste my whole life chasing
A goal I passed like a lady in waiting
Devoting my life to avoid and flee
The life thats been laid out for me

I wrote this today during English class....while NOT payin attention (college bites) and Its just about how like, i think there\'s this certain way im expected to live my life...and I dont want to

    Once again the honest truth is that I can't say much you need to improve on. it was short sweet and to the point(in the other way) good job I liked it honestly.

    This is really good it's short but i still felt like i was reading an entire story about your life

    did you mean to say life?

    i think the first two lines of this were the best, definatly thanks for all your help too now that i've read your work i appriciate it even more cause i really admire this you have some real talent, 5/5
