Thankful Wonders

by Heather Prior   Nov 9, 2005

I'm thankful for mashed potatoes and gravy,
for what it means to me.
I'm blessed to see the moon,
for the calmness that she gives me.
I'm grateful for the video games,
for they brought me and David closer.
I'm blessed to have David,
for he keeps me alive and well.
I'm grateful for school, though it's not me,
for the education I receive.
I'm thankful for music,
for it fills me with joy.
I'm blessed with Aunt DeeDee and Uncle Noah,
for they help me understand.
I'm blessed with talent,
for it gives me strength.
I'm grateful for my ears,
for making me a good listener.
I'm grateful for my voice,
for it releases my fears and tears.
I'm thankful for kittens,
for they make me laugh.
I'm thankful...
for the wonders I never saw.
