Wings

by Hilary   Nov 13, 2005

Don't let go my love, please,
I won't be able to fly anymore,
Without my second wing...
For you embraced me in your sturdy arms,
And your touch promised words of the unknown...
Unspoken plans, and unreleased memories,
That have been bottled-up inside of you,
And have not yet come to embrace my own ears...
Do not worry of letting them slip off of your tongue,
I can hear them without a single motion from your lips,
You speak to me with your eyes...
And I hear you with my heart.
I have come to hold on to the clouds,
With my bare hands, for I know, if I am wounded,
Your touch will take away my scars.
Fly me higher, my love,
Hold me up to the sun and let me gaze upon its beauty,
For only its light can measure up,
To the warmth you have brought to my life.
So don't let go, baby, please,
I will not be able to fly anymore,
Without my second wing...
