Just Another Face in the Crowd

by Kayli   Nov 13, 2005

How many times have you looked in the crowd and saw my face in everyone else's eyes? How many times have you ran after someone that you swore was me? To many times to remember?
I remember when I was just another girl that you looked over and never realized. Until that one day, I stepped up on that stage and you saw my face and passion that I had on the dance floor. You noticed me out of everyone and everyday you wonder my name and what I'm about. Every time you see another girl-You think it's me and in the middle you realize--I'm not there.
One night at a party-you recognize my face in the crowd. You slide through all the Cover girls and grab me by the arm. You smile in a charming way and I say,"I'm just another face in the crowd, yet you seek me out?" You asked for this dance, I nod with a grin and take your hand. You tell me you've thought about me many times before and died every time you thought I was near. I smiled and laughed at you ridiculous comments, though they were cunning and sweet, I had to laugh.
You looked so cute and innocent, but that dance ended. You got my number and I told you- You'll forget me. You promised you wouldn't forget me and you'd call me just to hear my voice.
I turned around after that cheesy line and you grabbed my arm and guaranteed you were for real. I grabbed your shoulder, lightly kissed you cheek and said- Remember I'm just another face in the crowd-

My best friend Jesse gave me the idea to write this..! Thanx Jesslyn!
