A song of prayer

Each day that lives and dies in turn
Seems so long without you near
And these notes I whisper in my head
Sings you a song of prayer

Your photo hangs upon my wall
A soft memory of yesterday
In your eyes I find salvation
And your smile guides me through the day

For in my dreams you laugh
And I know as long as I sing these notes
We will never be apart

With every word I write to you
Another note flys up above
And I know that you are reading this

Another day draws to an end
And another night is born
