Beautiful Sin

by 4g0tten_f@iry   Sep 4, 2006

Heartbreak sounds our quiet night
Betrayal bears our warmth
Your words call blindness to my heart and will forever more

Entwined our shadows beneath the stars
Naked truths we fear to speak
And past my lying eyes you see
To my soul forever weak

Desire burns within your eyes
AS you move to take my hand
And I long to know what separates,
A boy from such a man?

Tell me stranger, nothing more
For what will come with our sunrise?
More lies to cover our passion wrong
Leaving more emptiness inside

To love and lose is lesser pain
Than to risk a great love lost
Yet the passion flooded in your eyes
Tells me you haven't forgot

What can I do but run away?
For I cannot tame my soul
Yet for every time you turn away
It bears another hole

Forget me not, if I should leave
Forgive me if I stay
In you I'll always hold a feeling
And a love for yesterday.
