Do you know?

Do you know how it feels to give yourself physical pain,
In an attempt to kill what is eating your insides?
How breathing feels like a sorry try at feeling sane.
Can you tell me how deep I have to go to find where happiness resides?
Can you see that my smile is just a half hearted lie?
I know you can't see any scars anymore,
But you don't know how hard it is just to get by,
Just to make it one day without locking myself behind a door.
Can't you tell that I'm at breaking point...holding the knife to my wrist?
Begging myself not to do it. Not to start the cycle again.
It's been so long but I can still see that I was what the knife missed.
Do you know how it feels to give yourself physical pain,
in an attempt to kill your insides?

    OMG...seriously...this is like one of the best poems i've ever read!! You have such a way with words...I mean really...I've never read anything like your poetry before!! I love it!! But PLZZZZZ do not kill yourself!!! You can get through this!!!! I promise you can!!! Whoever made you feel this way is a jerk...i know the feeling...You're not alone...no matter how much you think you are!! There are people who care!!! Someday someone will come and take you away from this world of hurt...someone will make you feel whole again!!! But that will never happen if you end your life...you have so much to live for...i truly do care and i don't want you to be hurt...plz talk to me and ill help u...i no how it feels to get your heart ripped out...it's happened more than once...and fake smiles suck so bad...but if we don't give up on life, we'll find out there's so much more to live for out there!!!     Ha ha, yeah I know the feeling, all I can say is try and stay strong, you've done so well to try and break the cycle.
    I love this poem too, you're a really great poet, keep it up, expressing yourself in poetry is better than cutting again!!

    Woah....very powerful. i know how it feels, its hard to stop, to stay strong and not cut. its hard cus once you stop everyone pretends it never happened and doesn't want to talk about it.
