Dreaming of a White Christmas

by Dory   Nov 27, 2005

It's cold tonight, not even the heat is working.
I get under my blankets and hope the night will end, and tomorrow would be cozier.
I wake up to my alarm going off
(I didn't even remember setting it)
I am nice and cozy in my bed
Getting up is not an option
I smell the scent of fresh brewed coffee
The stove is on cooking bacon& eggs
I get up and put on my robe
Once I get into the kitchen, I see my families smiling faces
They say good-morning and tell me to look out the window
It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
The white snow piled so smoothly like a fluffy blanket
It's a winter wonderland
It looks like many piles of crystals
The trees so white
The roads are empty, no cars dare to break the silence, disturb the beauty
THIS is a white Christmas

**I wake up freezing cold in my bed only to find it all a dream**

Sorry I haven’t commented in a long while. I’m actually grounded from the computer (grr) for two weeks. I really can’t comment, and I hardly have the time to submit poems. I am so so so sorry. The only way I’m even sending you this is from at school, so feel lucky. =) Anyways, gotta go. I’ll be able to comment again on 12/7/05. Be prepared for the best comment yet!
