The angel no longer sings

she couldn't stand the silence

she couldn't stand the tears

she couldn't stand her life

after only 16 years

he cut deep in her heart

and tore her soul apart

all because she loved him

her eyes became so dim

no more singing, her heart had stopped beating

the only thing keeping her alive, was all the pain she was reaping

her pain overwhelming,

her dreams shattered

now theres nothing left of her

just her heart black and tattered

to make it worse no one cared

her wrist always covered

so no one would stare

so faked her smile

and got her grades

but no one knew

about the mistake she had made

she went running every night

to try and clear her mind

but she never forgot

and tears would fill her eyes

she just wanted to know

everything would be OK

but nothing would change

she'd just wither away

one day she went to school

it was just another class

everyone looking through her

like she was a piece of glass

she went home that night

like she always did

she put her journal in a box

with a note that she had hid

notes she wrote for 2 long years

of all the loneliness she held inside

of all her reasons

why every night she cried

one night as she was running down the road

she took out a blade, and the rest has been known

slowly she had become nothing

no passion for anything

every reason to live taken away

and she was only left with pain

she ran the blade up her wrist

as she felt it's last sharp kiss

she continued running, as her tears mixed with blood

no matter how much she bleeds it wont be enough

she ran home and went to bed, after taping up her arm

this was just one result, of all the self harm

through the night her heart had stopped

the doctors said from an unknown cause

it wasn't from a loss of blood or some weird random thing

but it was from a broken heart, that this angel no longer sings
