Rainman

by Hello Life   Nov 28, 2005

We used to watch the sunrise
as it soared above the sea
then stay there until it set again
and imagine we were free

and we were soaked with the sun's rays
and they washed us of our sorrow
the light reflected off our sins
and we dreamt of tomorrow

but now you lie under dust and ash
and i place a scarlet rose
every week just to say
that i know our love still grows

and i seek solace by the sea
and i can feel you hold my hand
the sun has come to take my pain
and the tragedy of the Rainman

Dedicated to Raymond 'Rainman' Wallis
who took his life on the 14th of November
forever missed by those who knew him and loved by all who met him, RIP our li'l Rainman.x.
