If I Could

by Anna   Nov 29, 2005

If I could take it all away,
If I could hurt myself to save you.
I'd take the blade and drag it across.
If I could undo what I've done to you.

If I could bleed out your innocence,
Through the pain, i'd set you free.
There'd be no more tears for you to cry,
The pain would drip out from inside of me.

If I could stop your heart from breaking,
If I could give you back your nights.
I'd hurt myself to cover your pain,
To take it all away and make it right.

If I could cut myself and bleed,
It'd show you I'm not made of stone.
This heart of mine feels like yours,
That in it I feel comepletly alone.

If i could trade my heart with yours,
I'd wipe it clean and start again.
I'd never hurt you, or break your heart,
I'd show you honesty like it should've been.

If I could cut myself wide open,
And show you my entire soul.
You'd see that i'm not the same anymore,
If only you would know.

If I could cut out this evil in me,
And drain it out along with my sins.
Then you'd see i'm all for you,
It's a battle everyone wins.
