I Need You

by Void   Nov 30, 2005

Coming from all directions,
They never leave me alone.
Scratching at my skin,
My wounds are their thrown.

With each cut I heal,
They make a deeper one.
These monsters steal my soul,
and get their fun.

They've pinned me lifeless,
Breathless on the floor.
His love that once protected me,
Protects me no more.

I'm frozen where I stand.
Now frozen where I sit.
Pain is no longer my worry,
For the light in me, isn't lit.

That candle of flame,
I once saw in his eyes
No longer exists in his heart,
And is now the cause of my demise.

I spend my last seconds,
Saying quietly, my prayer.
Please come back to me,
Without you, everything is a scare.

And with this last thought,
I see the monster cry.
All this time the monster was me
Beating myself up -over your lie.

Look what you've done to me,
Can you see what you've made.
Come save me from myself,
Before I start to fade...
I need you.

Note to reader: This poem I decided to leave the full meaning and background details unclear. Which true makes it hard to pick a topic, but it's what i wanted. If you could do me a favour and leave your comment on which category I should put this in. It would mean alot to me. :) Thanks
