Faith surrounds you

by Tiny Reader   Nov 30, 2005

Surrounded by friends you still feel alone
Because they only see the side you let them know.
Laughing covers up what you see as shame
Not knowing if they'd help or walk away.

Feeling as if you've no reason to live
Your laugh sounds hollow, your smile is fixed
Yet people don't see, this angers you more
"True friends would notice" you think, as you fall.

But your friends have seen more than you know
They wait patiently for you to let your pain show.
They know that in time you'll be ready to speak
So don't think they don't care, or think that you're weak.

Show them the side you're afraid to release
Act how you feel, pray and believe
That people will be there to help you through
They'll do what you can't. They'll have faith in you.

Faith surrounds you in ways you don't know
Be strong enough to admit, and your pain WILL go.
