The gown

by Wings Of Flames   Dec 2, 2005

A gown so white and thin,
A person full of many a sin,
A man of red and lust,
He touched and she lost trust,

Where he drew he left a mark,
Of red and darkest dark,
A stain he left but not on the white,
The stain he left on her light,

She now scared and left alone,
She is now encased in stone,
Her spirit so high,
Now left to die,

The gown of white she left over her skin,
The gown so thin,
She grows cold as Winter hits in the heat,
She never realized she had a life so sweet,

But its passed her by and flown away,
IT was there but did not stay,
The man is there behind every door,
Each image engraved in her mind helps her to the floor,

Each stranger she sees on the street,
Reminds her of the man she did meet,
She places glass slippers on her feet,
And hopes that her prince shall come and greet,

And shall banish all pain inflicted on her soul,
But these thoughts continue to roll,
The gown dragged from her and shes left bare,
Everyone watches as she crys and don't care,

Blood oozes from her stain,
And she runs afraid of the pain,
Screams are heard and are from her,
All her life now a blur,

Shes found hanging with a rope around her neck,
Now her life is nothing but a speck. . .

Another great one. I really like your work, and I can see that they come from the heart. The meanings of each and every one get across clear, and tell a story that should be heard. Keep up the great work, and I'll keep on reading :)
