Words Last Longer If You Scream

by Hello Life   Dec 3, 2005

Can towering trees hear my pain
do i communicate with the rain
do my footprints leave my soul
does nature know i dont feel whole
can strangers hear my anguished call
or the clatter of the blade as i watch it fall
am i understood more if i pray
in this silence i cant think what to say
surely if i scream i am heard more
but what am i screaming for
nobody listened to me yesterday
screaming will not get me my way
does it work better on a birthday wish
do the gods pay attention to my anguish
i learnt from pretending to be in life's team
that words last longer if you scream
