Celebrating Apathy; Join the Fun

You can't fall in love when you're comfortably numb
You can't change who you are if you never were someone.
You can't fall asleep when you were never awake
And you can't tell the truth if you're really just fake.

You aren't what they want so you're not good enough
You aren't always honest so you can't gain their trust
You aren't always right so they know that you're wrong
And you aren't just like them so you'll never belong.

You won't be the first one but you could be the last
You won't let it go, but darling, the past is in the past
You won't pay the price even though its worth what it costs
And you won't call it quits even though you've already lost.

You can't change you're mind; now he'll just watch you fall
You aren't who he thinks; actually, he doesn't know you at all.
You won't let him change you; you like who you've become
After all, you can't fall in love. You're comfortably numb.
