The Colour of Silence

by Strange Angel   Dec 4, 2005

The gloomy grey murk
Settling on moors
Obscuring light of day
Unending coal black floors

Or the brilliance of sunshine
Burning heart and soul
So bright you cannot see it
But it's all that makes you whole

Or is it blood red ribbons
Of sorrow cries unheard
Dark and unexplained
The pain of him and her

Impenetrable darkness
Of new moon found at day
Answers hidden, veiled
Stranger lost his way

Perhaps it means to you
All that it means to me
It may be hard to find sometimes
But it's the colour that sets me free
