Fading Away

by Barbara   Dec 5, 2005

Slowly she fades,
right before your eyes.
Little by little
until she finally dies.

Until then, you shut down inside.
Not letting anyone see how you feel.
If you showed any emotion,
that would make this real.

Separate yourself from reality.
Separate yourself from life.
Just sit around wondering,
when will it be alright?

Will things ever be the way they were?
Will things ever be the same?
You're a total different person.
Always feeling so much pain.

You know it's coming,
but you're not sure when.
You'll feel so terrified,
waiting until then.
