How does she manage
To go though the whole day
Without breaking down and crying
With all the things they say

How does she manage
Not to push down too deep
When all she can ever wish for
Is eternal sleep

How does she manage
To keep calm
When they all know about her
And her self harm

How does she manage
To go on
And keep that smile
While her pain has long yet to be gone

How does she manage
To go home every night
Knowing what will happen
And knowing she wont put up fight

How does she manage
To keep her darkest days
All locked up inside
She can let them out in so many ways

How does she manage
To stay quiet
About what she thinks
And about her secret diet

How does she manage
To keep a straight face
When they all laugh at her
And tell each other of her disgrace

How does she manage
To even stay alive
In a place like this
How does she survive

How does she manage
To lock away what she may feel
To always think of her death
And pray to god none of it was real

How does she manage
To go without love
And to wish for better things
That can only come from above

How does she manage
To cope with the pain
That she knows tomorrow
Will bring again and again

How does she manage
To deal with her fear
To go home at night
And cry another tear

How does she manage
To keep up her look
When she hates her life
And hates this chapter of her book

To stay strong
Even when people put her down
When they always say shes in the wrong
