In a City...With No People...

by christina marie   Dec 9, 2005

In a city with no people,
In a city with no name,
You'll find me in the outskirts,
Walking alone in shame.

In a city with no people,
Where I walk down the street,
There are endless roads before me,
But nobody here to greet.

In a city with no people,
No friendly good-byes or hello's,
Is a place that you will find me,
Everyone does know.

In a city where people don't live,
In a place where people disappear,
You can count on me,
Always being there.

I'm in a city with no people...
I'm in a city with no people...
I have to say it out loud,
So that I know I am alone.

In a city with no people,
That's where I will be,
Walking an invisible fence,
Like a curse of eternity.

In a city with no people,
There is somebody waiting for me,
She tells me things, just everything,
She says one day I'll be free.

In a city with no people,
I know I'll find a way out,
Somewhere, someday, I'll keep hoping,
I'll find what this city's about.

In a city with no people,
Hold your daughter's hand or she will be lost...
Just like me, she'll roam this city, and be a memory,
Because everyone will just have forgot.

In a city with no people...
In this city...
I'm just lost...
In a crowd of endless people...
