Not Today

Tomorrow is too far away to wait and tell you how I feel,
but I can't think of what to say.
I'd march up to you and tell you right now,
except I'm not ready yet, not today.

We've been best friends for a little while.
Now that I love you I can barely say "Hey".
I have to tell you how I feel,
but first I must figure out a way.

I'm so scared of your reaction.
I want things to turn out okay.
I promise to tell you as soon as I find the words.
But I'm not ready yet, not today.
