I'm from

by Brandy   Dec 13, 2005

I'm from moving around a lot, not knowing where I belong.

I'm from growing up without a mother, always taking care of myself.

I'm from playing with boys, instead of barbies, power rangers, dirt, and mud.

I'm from a broken home, bad days and screaming nights.

I'm from having an abusive father, never understanding why he would touch me that way.

I'm from growing up fast, and being a mother to my younger sister.

I'm from a place where crying, cutting, and screaming are simply ways to deal with pain.
