You'll never be him

by Emma   Dec 14, 2005

Everything seems different
From this point of view
The image lied distraught
From the moment she met you

It's funny how something
Like a Christmas tree
Is much more than pathetic
Through the eyes of me

A constant helping hand
Is much less appreciated
When the friendly gesture
Never stands outdated

You're always right there
Just like one would hope
As close as is possible
Holding on tight to this rope

It fills me with hatred
You never disappear
Even when I scream
You're still standing so near

I'm struggling to breath
I miss my old life
Me and my brother
My FATHER and his wife

Whoa, just wow Emma. You really make me want to cry, It's poems like this that make me realise that i'm not the only person in the world with a private life, everyone suffers needlessly and it hurts to see so much anger in such a small 'timid' girl like yourself. I liked this poem a lot, 5/5
