Neglected

by Emma   Dec 12, 2006

I'm cold against your empty body
I'm resistant to your touch
You're eyes are bland and senseless
As your hands begin to clutch
My ruffled clothes are broken
From your violent tears
I push you away harshly
But it doesn't break your stares
They say that looks can kill
Yours can kill my pride
Destroy all my saved images
Of a loved one by my side
But to you this makes no difference
Because you're the one who's right
I guess nobody here is to blame
Apart from me? Because I fight
I'm fighting for my future
I'm fighting for my life
You're burying every inch of hope
The dream to which I strive
I see where I belong
In that dark cold corner
Where nobody puts baby?
Apart from the destroyer
