My Perfect Lie

My perfect life is all a lie,
A lie that no one sees through,
No one sees how every night I cry,
My depression is still a secret to all of you.

No one sees the cuts down my arm,
They only see the smile,
No one would guess that I self harm,
And it's all worth the while.

No one feels the pain I feel,
They only feel my happiness,
No one knows that my scars won't heal,
I guess I'm a good actress.

No one hears the screams I make,
They only hear the laughter,
No one knows that I wish I wasn't awake,
And that I won't live happily ever after.

You've all fallen for my perfect lie,
None of you realize I'm not okay,
When you find out you might ask why,
And I'm dreading that horrid day.

    Hey, i want to say thanku for all of ur comments and support, they really mean a lot to me. im truely impressed by ur courage to try and stop, and i wish u every bit of luck with stopping, i know its gona be very hard, but u can do it! i understand where ur coming from with the cutting inspiring poetry, so uv got to do wats best for u. perhaps u cud try writing different poems, like nature ones or ones about life, friendship etc. positive poems and writing could help too. just some suggestions! take care huni, and good luck :) i hope someday i will also have the courage to quit!
