My Way To Cry

I have seen so much death
So many lives cut too short
All those lives swept off
By a wave of some sort

How can I not cry when I see
A child's hand hanging limp
It makes my heart break
It hurts my soul just to think

Of all the laughter's stolen
From a child's small lips
Thinking of their last breaths
Makes my heart skip

You cant help but wonder
When will our last days be
I see the mother cry
And I thank God it's not me

I cannot look at another picture
Of a life no longer there
And I don't understand how people
Cant actually NOT care

Makes me cry just to listen
Of another story gone bad
Kids playing one minute
Gone the next, it's so sad

Eyes shut close forever
Never seeing the sun again
Makes you think and wonder
When will it be OUR end

I wrote this after the Tsunami.....
