Somebody else

Wishes tossed to heaven
for only angels to hear
Running widely inside my mind
along with all my tears.

Throwing me unto the ground
each time it comes to thought
for so long in my heart
it's the wish that I have fought

Wars against the mirror
and the girl on the other side.
memories of all the hurt
and all the little lies.

So I realize my wish was one
one made for myself
one wish tossed to heaven
to be somebody else.
