Memories

These memories haunt me
Each day and each night
Memories that are like shadows
Blocking out the sweet light
These memories of pain
Seem like all I can remember
They hide other memories
Of good times and laughter
Where are my good dreams?
They're replaced by nightmares
What is true joy?
I simply can't remember
But nobody knows this
For I do the same thing each day
I plaster a smile on my face
All my pain hidden away
All the while I remember
The pain, the sorrow
These memories playing in my mind
Today and tomorrow
I cannot escape this
It'll always be this way
Reliving the pain
Each and every day

    It sounds like one of those dreams, I can't really explain.... Um the ones where your not quite sure what going on.
