Abusive Father

by Samantha   Dec 19, 2005

The little girl is very scared
Her father pounds on her door,
"Let me in sweetie," he says
I promise not to hurt you anymore.

The girl cries a silent tear
And crawls under her bed,
She couldn't forget the horrible things he'd done
She couldn't forget what he said.

The door was slowly splitting
Right down through the center,
She was sure that in a few minutes
Her abusive father would enter.

Her father was more drunk then ever
He beat her without a reason why,
His whipping was so extreme
She thought she was going to die.

She screamed so loud for help
But nobody did ever come,
As soon as her father got tired of beating her
He headed back to the rum.

Her mother kept a suitcase
By her bed for when this day would come,
In case her father ever got to bad
To the police they were to run.

She looked around for her mother
But no where was she to be found,
Until the little girl went into the kitchen
And found her mother's body lying dead upon the ground.

Wow that is powerful. The flow was a little off, but the message was loud and clear. You did a great job portraying the fear and reality of abuse.
