Mother

by Matters   Dec 20, 2005

M

Memories hide secrets,
Of the good and of the not,
But when I think of ones we've shared,
I realize none should be forgot.

O

Only you have known me,
For my entire life,
And you are the sole player,
Of the eternalizing fife.

T

Times will never end,
Of love and laughs and hugs,
Vases filled with flowers,
Holding tight and snug.

H

Hate could never come,
You were there for me,
I loved to be with you,
Playing on the dogwood tree.

E

Everything's the same,
Our share of it and all,
Our matching, bright blue eyes,
Our fear to always fall.

R

Remembering all thoughts,
And countless memories,
You are my own mother,
Never forget me.

Thank you for it all mom. Oh, and to everyone out there reading this: every mother deserves a poem. Go write yours one.
