Searching Through My Despair

by Russell   Dec 20, 2005

Wake me up from this sleep
These painful dreams are always haunting me
Holding this all in so deep
The truth I cant see

Forever locked within your lies
Living a life that isn't mine
Slowly tears build in my eyes
but I pretend everything is fine

I seem so laid back
But inside I am fighting this thing
When everything turns black
I am under this demon's weathered wing

Dormant emotions lay unaware
These gloomy thoughts engulf my mind
Searching through my despair
I find the door leading me away from being confined

Still unhappy I continue on
I am a reflection of something I am not
Even when looked down upon
I'm glad I was never forgot
