14 with cancer

by Cassie Marie   Dec 23, 2005

They sit in the waiting room
their patience running low
eyes full of gloom
acting as if they dont already know

the doctor calls them in
she had a sad look on her face
she tries to make a light grin this situation she wants to erase

the minute it took to realize
that she had cancer
her life flashed in her eyes
she wanted a different answer

she began to cry
and fell to her knees
on herself she would rely
we will find a cure, the doctor believes

thoughts and wonders still in her mind
hoping she will have one more year
life to her use to be so kind
but in reality, death was near

her skin started to get yellow
and her voice get softer
so soft you could barely hear hello
and so skinny its like you lost her

she brush her hair
and take out a handful
to see this
she couldnt bare

she was in her room one day
it was to quiet, her mother just knew
her beloved daughter
had passed away
