Why Not?

by Sarah Davis   Dec 24, 2005

Living in this dark abyss,
And in this sea of despair and agony,
I'm all alone inside.
The dead pull me under,
They are trying to bring about my undoing.
They try to break me with their smirking faces,
Laughing at my flaws.
Their penetrating stares,
They are waiting for my next mistake.
Silence drives me into madness,
Sorry...I have just left the building,
My light inside has extinguished,
Internal flames are dying.
My candle has been snuffed out.
And now my soul is withering away.
Underneath all this pressure...
Why not push a little harder?
Cut the veins of life and joins those dead.
Why not?
It's what they want!
Reasons to exist have vacated my mind and concience forever.
Shall I push a little hard?
Why not.....
