To My Lost Hope

by Russell   Dec 25, 2005

This poem is for a certain person in my life
You took everything from me
I was so Naive to want you as my wife
the real you I just didn't see

You made me think everything was wrong
I poured my heart out to you
You made me think we would belong
but little did I know about this hell you'd put me through

You masked your true plan
and played with my heart
I still don't see how this all began
but now you've torn me apart

You were like a drug
Just another addiction for me
You had me from the first hug
and for so long I haven't been free

You've kept me up so many nights
and have made an endless stream of tears
You took me from my greatest heights
and brought back all my fears

Why cant I be sober from this drug like grip?
Can I have back my wasted life?
Why did you send me on this trip?
But you can't persuade me to the knife

****I had this poem under another name before i took it off here. The girl i wrote it about and I have started talking again. So out of respect I took it off, then i realized someone might relate to this...so here you are***

Well, nice story behind it. It sounds like love *swoon* Hey, quit bringing out the romantic in me!! Ok, but I'll just say the poem was very nice, it sounded so nice to say that she had you from the first hug, awww. that was just TOO nice!
