The Girl Who Didn't Feel So Well

by lonelynow   Dec 26, 2005

*please read*

this is a story I've hidden inside
a story hidden for many years
this is a story of a girl who died
and a story of this girl's tears

she used to be happy
and laugh alot
when things went wrong
she'd smile about what she'd got

she had the perfect dream life
her home life was full of joy
she went to a top school
she had every game or toy

then one day things started to go wrong
went to the doctor; didn't feel so well
he told her she had depression
and she decided never to tell

she kept this secret hidden
deep inside her beating heart
kept it hidden for so long
it became an art

though she didn't keep it from everyone
there were a few who knew
whats wrong whats wrong they asked
there's something i have to tell you

when she knew what was wrong
things got worse it seemed
she grew intensely sad
dying, crying, suicide she dreamed

it finally happened in December
oh that horrible day
when that beautiful little girl
finally passed away

now her body carries on without her
it's just an empty shell
all that's left of that little girl
who simply didn't feel so well

you may be thinking
how do you know, how can you see
and i'll tell you a secret
this little girl was me

*this poem is so badly written. i am almost ashamed to submit it. but it is my feelings, so submit it i will. please comment, or if you have time check out another of my poems, "desperate girl; Why do you stare?" to prove I'm not that bad writer. thank you*

There are many things that make up you as a person, but a bad writer is not one of them. A poem's best quality is to have the words engraved with emotions, something you have always done well in the many of your poems I have read. Depression is not fun to live with, because the world is balck and gray, the white died and won't return. Some go on meds, b/c they say that helps, but that never did anything for me. I send you many hugs love, because our stories are so similar, I feel for you in so many ways.
