Happens

by Idiosyncratic   Dec 28, 2005

Flowers of death
not wilted they thrive
molded air, rotten soil
but still they are alive

candied hearts
hard as stone
and yet they beat
and love alone

tripping rain
on windowed hills
dripping pain
securing thrills

let's take our hands
let's bend and weep
let's build their trust
let's ensure defeat

watch and wave
wonder not
gasp and gaze
at what you've caught

faith
lies
hate
guise
truth
spies
love
dies

I'm not sure why... but I just HAD to read this poem, just because of the title. And the contents of this poem did not disappoint. Your gift for poetry... you did not learn this. You must have been born with it. :)

It just so "Happens" that I love this poem.
