Everyone tells me
Exactly what to do
I try to make them happy
And always stay true

But my identity is gone
I don't do anything for me
I always try to tell them
Try to make them see

That sure I can do these things
And I'm really good to
I wanna go to college
I honestly do!

But if you keep shoving me
And pushing me along
I'll eventually wind up
Somewhere I don't belong!

If you think I'm so talented
Then just let me be
I can lead my own life
And I'll lead it for me

I can still be perfect
But I'll do it on my own
