Sloth

by Drew Gold   Dec 29, 2005

With your hand

reach out and
bridge the gap
between god

and yourself as you
unlock the heavens only
to shout obscenities.

blaspheme thy father;
with no questions asked,
from mother.

breathe truth
and cough dust
both unsettling-
and settling
on the world
underneath it

exit logic, as you
miscalculate;
confusing me,
for your god.

    Firstly explain the name to me, it just doesnt seem to work into the rest of the poem unless i interpret it differently, second perhaps it would fit better into the faith/religion section, but then again its not really one that would fit there either, no perhaps leave it where it is, third umm....i like it! Lol yet another matserpiece that twists from each line to the next ever morphing the meaning and changing its context. It doesnt really make much sense untill the last stanza, infact the last stanza is the only part that makes sense to me at all, but thats just me..
