Stop Please

Stop Please

Please look at me
Put the drugs away
Using already took you once
Do you not recall prison was an awful place

I beg of you to stop
Before it is too late
Look at your family
This habit brings them disgrace

What can I do
To make you see
Using and dealing
Will only take you away once again

Remember our talks
On each visitation day
Remember your promises made
Please I beg of you to keep your word

I have loved you for so long
I have always taken care of you
Now please stop the shooting up
And for once take care of me

I can not live this life alone
And your sobriety meant so much
You helped me with my children
Made sure to watch me after each surgery

Please bubba I beg of you
Stop breaking me heart in two
Look at your niece and nephews
Look at your children too

Do you not realize
Can you not see
We all need you
You are an important part to our family.

Wow... Amazing poem... very powerful, and full of emotion. I hope that whoever this is talking about listens, because I know it's hard when someone has a problem with either drugs or drinking. I could really relate to this, and I might even print it off and show it to someone who needs to read a poem like this. Great job hun, keep up the amazing writing.

Great write! Tough issue for families. It is so hard to watch someone on self destruct.
