Strangers

by Karla Gordon   Dec 31, 2005

Snow softly falling, covering the ground
Lights twinkling softly in the dark of night
Sitting and watching I look for you
Where have you gone, the light of my life.

It used to be you and me together in bond
Somewhere along the way the us was lost
Now there is just me and then you
Strangers passing through day and night.

How I yearn to have love in my life again
My heart feels distraught and so alone
Hungering for some tenderness and grace
Longing for the sweet touch of one that loves me.

I know my eyes show the pain, can't you see?
Take time to see me, look into my heart
There is so much there to give, so much love
Come back in and be a part of my heart.

I would climb right up to the moon and stars
Bringing them down to you, just to prove
How much love I have to give, how I need for it
Just to have someone hold me in their arms again.
