Understand or Care

No one seems to understand or care.
So, I never even make a sound.
But sometimes at night,
when I'm afraid and sad,
tears break off the silent
as they roll down from my eyes.

All alone in the dark, empty room
full of tears and many fears-
I wish for someone to hear
the soft but clear screams of my heart.
Once again, no one seems to understand or care.

Sometimes thoughts of depression and death
control my every move, my every day
and soon will be my life.
The one that I no longer have
since the day you decided to go away.

You should stop acting like a fool,
pretending to be Mr. Cool.
Just open up your eyes and see
that my heart belongs to you.
Why does everything' so rare?
No one seems to understand or care.

Surrounded by pictures and
memories of us together,
I realized that I can't move on.
Take a minute to look back and
see what you have done.
I wish you would, but I also know you won't...
