Meeting of Fate

by Georgi   Jan 4, 2006

I knew a girl once, bruised through and through,
Battered and broken, sort of like you.
She was close to the edge, writing suicide notes,
Then she met her best friend, on poems and quotes.

She was dying from pain; you were there by her side,
On a forum of friendship, she was there when you cried.
You found in each other, a heart that beat on,
A heart that would make it, though the road was still long.

That girl that I knew, she was fighting for life,
Struggling to keep her skin away from the knife.
She was falling too hard, coming into deep harm,
Until you walked to her side, and bandaged her arm.

She had a friend, the girl that I know,
Constantly managing to hurt her so,
She clings on to a life that she knows isn't there.
Desperately wishing for love, strength and care.

You were hurt so much, by the life that you had,
A broken family left you hurting and sad.
Cursed by a love that will live in your soul,
Thinking nothing and no one could make your life whole.

That girl that I know, she believes in fate,
Because she met her best friend before it was too late.
You're no longer sad; she's not close to the end,
Because your tears came together, and now your best friends.
