PORCELAIN HEART

by myshiningstar14   Jan 4, 2006

Like glass my tears fall instantaneously shattering at the touch of a heartbeat. The pulse of your love is louder than any drumbeat. Like a delicate flower my heart blossoms in your eyes.

My surface is smooth to the touch; but when I am broken like a window I shatter into a million pieces. Broken I lye their, torn ad barely hanging on. This is my porcelain heart.

I am so easy to break, I have the mind of a daisy and the skin of a rose. I have the eyes of a morning glory, so delicate and meek am I. This is the nature of my porcelain heart.

Peeled and broken am I. My shattered soul and complexed mind meet in this insubstantial world of mine. The astonishing damage to my porcelain soul, captures one and all.

I have the grace of a dove and the poise of an angle. So I find that I am deceiving. Beneath my striving to please, I fall.

My porcelain heart has been tampered with, so many heartaches and trials. So many times that I have given someone a piece of my heart they didn't ask for. So, please forgive my porcelain heart and still love me so.
