Mother

by xlovelostx   Jan 8, 2006

You lay passed out on the floor
From all of the alcohol you have consumed
You pass out wishing you could have just one more
Day in and day out
You continue this deadly cycle
That not only harms you
But it affects everyone who is close to you
That is something you know nothing about
Because it's always about you and your pain
Your so blind to everything around you
You don't even notice the scars
The many deep painful scars that fill your daughter's arms
Day in and day out
She watches in silence as you ruin your life
You've never been there for her
So she has turned to the knife
To help take away her pain
So please mother
Just go ahead and drink another
Each day you get closer to death
Closer to taking your last breath
And every day your daughter slips farther into a state of depression
And relies more on her deadly obsession

    Hey Sarah!
Loved the poem. The use of words were great..; maybe verses would be easier to read...??

    Loved it!
