Another life Lost

by Ashley Redden   Jan 8, 2006

Every night she lays in bed
Wondering what to expect
If he'll be drunk tonight
Or if he's going to want to fight
He comes in and beats her
And thinks she should do what he wants
Maybe he wants something tonight
Or maybe he wants to beat her around one again
God only knows who's hes with when he's out
And she's afraid to ask
As shes laying there in bed tonight
She hears him stumble through the door
She sinks her body down further in the bed
A cry of her name was made
By the evil voice coming down the hall
As he makes it his way to the bedroom
Knocking Pictures and things off the wall
And the sounds of the breaking glass frightens her even more
He turns the light on
Makes his way to the bed
He pulls her up
With a tight grip around her throat
She's gasping for a breath to scream
But nothing can be heard
As he pulls a gun from his coat pocket
She just calmly lays there
And closes her eyes to pray
But it was too late
And she died in her bed of velvet
And for now to remember her
He lays a rose on her pillow
For the harm he caused
Because of the evil things he does
He won't be forgiven
For the life that has been lost
