Decisions

We all have decisions to make
that may break
our minds and souls
and spin our lives out of control

Yet we must decide
How to confide
to those who must know
as we create their sorrows

We all give and receive pain
It is our greatest shame

Sometimes people are left behind
It's not always kind
Yet we know
it must be so

I've been on the receiving end
but I've also been the one to send
someone away
as i callously turned away

i know the pain I've caused
But I also know how it feels to be lost
and left in my darkroom
Where all my shadows loom

Yet we all must move along
even when all our hope is gone
