What I See*

by soleil   Jan 11, 2006

I look at him
past the black eyeliner and purple hair.
i see his pain
from moving so much.
the black fishnets and piercings
dont fool me.
for once i was like him
lost.
i look at her she sits alone every day
with her AP text books.
She smiles with fear
for all the people around
they seem to overwhelm her
she tries to stay away
but shes confused.
i see
i look at her im not sure what she feels
or who she is
her poseur like qualities
she wants to be like them
with their blonde hair
and anorexic like bodies
catching all the guys numbers within 3 hours
i stop myself
the whole time i've been
looking in a mirror and
that is what i see*
