Sitting there, time again
Listen to them say
"It's time to begin"
Pick up your pen
and start to write
Even though you know
It's all sh**te
Fidget here, fidget there
Tap your fingers
Move the chair
Doodle on the paper
scribble over your hand
You'd use your mobile
But its been banned
Watch the clock
With seconds past
Ticking off
The time to last
Write your name
For the thousandth time
waiting for
The sun to shine
Stare across the hall
At faces blank
Stretching their brains
Was it Edward Davis, or Cratchet Franc?
Five minutes left
We're all half dead
Wishing for those words
Waiting for them to be said
"Time's up. Pens down"
Lets all rush off
to play havoc in town...
